You and Your Agent (Session 1)

May 16 2006 - 7:00pm
May 16 2006 - 9:30pm

The first session of this course will focus on how to find a literary agent and what to expect from a literary agent, and provide useful information about publishers and the publishing business for those heading into the marketplace with a book manuscript or proposal. The second session will focus on when and how to write a good proposal for a nonfiction book, and on what fiction writers are expected to submit to agents or publishers. Nina will review the first ten pages of any proposal or manuscript a participant brings to the first session of the course, and will then choose samples from the work submitted to discuss in the second session.
